THE PROCESS NOT THE SCALES 15/01/2010

Now don't get me wrong, I want the scales to go down.  Desperately.

But something I learned following WW back in 1997/1998 (when I actually got to goal).

If you follow the program it works.

Even if you gain or maintain, if you have followed the program, the loss will show eventually.

I am NOT a linear loser.  I lose, maintain, gain, lose, etc etc.  It is random rather than related to TOM.

So I had to stop stressing about the scales and just focus on following the process.

Another thing I have learned is that I would rather enjoy the process and take 12 months to get to goal than feel deprived trying to get there faster.  Aside from anything else the chances of me sticking with any plan I hate following are very slight so I will end up closer to goal by doing it slower!  Because this IS for life I need to be able to enjoy it.
