Wow.
I forgot how GREAT proper cardio makes me feel.
I have so much to say today LOL
Firstly - hip is 100% pain free. I will keep an eye on it, but so far so good! For those that don't know, they think I have "epicondylitis" which is like tennis elbow in my hip. I need to improve my core strength as the first step in stopping it recurring. Basically if I do no exercise it calms down. But my brain goes crazy :). So I need to fix it long term. In the meantime I am going to try the C25K while I continue my core strengthening.
Secondly - I am not sure any of you would actually want my C25K MP3... my taste in music is a bit daggy! (From "Cecilia" by Simon and Garfunkle to "Rollover DJ" by Jet to "Summer Loving" from Grease and a whole bunch of dagginess in between. I am happy to put it somewhere to share if you like (will ask DH tonight for a good spot to put it) but not sure you will enjoy it!!
Thirdly - as proud as I am of myself, the instructions were actually really clear and easy to follow. If I had chosen to do my own voice file it probably would have been even quicker!
Fourthly - I have found a nearby sports park which has 7 football ovals. So I am going to try there for tomorrows walk/jog and see if it is suitable. It will be much kinder to my knee and hip if it is suitable! Fingers crossed!
Fifthly - I go quite slow! Averaged about 6km/hr (3.7mph)... my jog is about the same pace as my walk to be honest! BUT I am going to get to a point of jogging the full distance/time and then worry about my speed. I used to be able to do 4km at 9.6km/hr (about 6 mph). My goal was always 4km in under 20 minutes (about 12km/hr) but I never got there! A goal for 2011 maybe :)
I think that is it...
