Letting Life become a Barrier
Life is NOT going to stop so I can get to my goal weight.
In some ways I know that. I never put my life 'on hold' due to my weight. In 2 weeks I am 'swimming with dolphins'. I am willing to try anything.
But life is not always smooth. Life has hurdles, hiccups and bumps. It has bad moments, bad days and bad weeks.
I need to STOP letting life push me off track.
I need to make losing weight more important than ANYTHING else. I need to remember that NOTHING, EVER, is made better by overeating.
Overeating never helped me change a tire. Overeating never makes my hormones stable. Overeating isn't helping DH get a job. Overeating is really fairly useless at EVERYTHING except making me feel worse physically and emotionally.

Ain't that the truth! So often we use lifes obstacles as excuses why we aren't losing weight. Life will always go on, and we can cope so much better if we are treating our bodies right by exercising and making healthy food choices. In the past I self medicated using food and the cycle perpetuated. The last year saw life throw me the biggest curve ball yet, however I coped really well as I could control what I put into my mouth and how I moved my body when everything else around me seemed to be spinning out of control.
