"You can have the results you say you want, or you can have all the reasons in the world why you can’t have them. But you can’t have both. Reasons or results. You get to choose."

You may have noticed my absence...

I have not had a lot to say...  but I feel the need to blog fizzing and bubbling up inside me....

So here I go, my life in subject headings....

Weight Loss:
I am kind of maintaining.  I lose a little, gain a little.  I stopped doing WW as right now I am just not working it.  Instead (in the past few weeks) I have been focussing on mindful eating (my interpretation of it!) which includes: eating when hungry, eating consciously and not on the run, eating the food that I feel will satisfy me the most (physically, emotionally and mentally), stopping when I have had enough.  I am doing this about 60% of the time which is a good start I think.  I certainly have been eating less.  It is amazing how much junk food loses appeal when it is no longer an 'indulgence' but something I can eat all day if it is what I really want!  Turns out mostly what I really want is fresh meat and vegetables as long as they have lots of flavour.

Exercise:
Not such a pretty picture.  My hip is really sore, and it is my fault.  I am not stretching or strengthening and I know I will feel so much better if I do at least stretch!  I really want to do cardio but somehow that is not translating into motivation to do what my hip needs.  Working on it.

Life:
Mostly good.  A few things that will improve (eg finances when DH gets full time work and I get a few months of overtime) and some that won't (eg Dad's cancer is now 'inoperable' which means 'incurable') but overall life is good.

So how are you?

Good to see you back on line, Fiona. Life is a journey that we are here to enjoy and experience fully. All of our decisions help towards those goals, some more than others.

Life is *always* good, even though it doesn't always appear so.

Hi Fiona. Maintaining is good! And eating mindfully is a great skill.

People's weight loss tends to go in fits and starts, and sometimes you need a break from worrying about it so much.

As long as you're not travelling backwards, you're still going forwards, gathering useful experience for the future.

Hello Nice to see you again. I hope you are going well.
Just keep going forward for how long it will be!
Eating mindfully is one of the key issues with weightloss and good luck with that!
See you around :)
Cheers
